ROLE: Researcher, Editor & Report Designer
The challenge:
Document a complex, multi-stakeholder initiative on community-led biochar production across 178 villages in Andhra Pradesh and Rajasthan, translating technical, ecological, and community dimensions into a coherent, accessible publication for funders and partners.
What I did:
Collected data and reports from both organisations, synthesised the research, created the report structure, wrote the full report (with assistance from ChatGPT), and designed the final publication. The report makes the case for decentralised, community-owned climate technology as a viable pathway to carbon sequestration, soil restoration, and green livelihoods.
The outcome:
A publication that positions biochar as a democratic climate technology that is accessible, locally owned, and rooted in equity, for two INECC member organisations operating at grassroots scale.
